Martin Keown belives Martial to be Best for MU
Former Premier League star Martin Keown believes that new Manchester United signing Anthony Martial is certainly not worried about the transfer fee on his shoulders.
The French international is already the world’s most expensive teenager after having cost a straight transfer fee of £ 36 million. However, it has not been revealed that the fee could rise to up to £ 56 million depending on performance related aspects. This would make him as expensive as former United star Angel di Maria. Just as with the Argentine,Martial has made a great start to his life at Old Trafford.
The 19-year-old has scored three goals in just two league outings. Despite being very young,Martial is seen as a striker who can create opportunities for himself just as in the way several Premier League stars like Thierry Henry and Sergio Aguero have done over the years. The important aspect forMartial will be to continue and build on this good start.Martial will be aware that there is likely to be bigger challenges in the upcoming games, but he has to stay level-headed. It will also become tough for the 19-year-old once opposition start becoming aware of his weaknesses. For the time being,Martial has been deployed as a central striker by Louis Van Gaal.
"He's been absolutely magnificent. They could not have hoped for any more. There was a huge transfer fee on his head, but it doesn't seem to bother him. Every time he is in front of goal he seems to be at his happiest.I thought they would take him off at 3-1 and they do need to manage him well. He's only a young boy really. But he looks very powerful and mature and he's well beyond the age he played at on Sunday," said Keown.
