BECKS STILL TOP CLASS

The new QPR manager Harry Redknapp has said that he believes that the former England international David Beckham is still good enough to play in the Premier league.

He has said that he will not rule out a possible move for the LA Galaxy star, who has recently revealed that he will be bringing an end to his American adventure from this season. The 37-year-old is out of contract after just two months. He has played for the last six seasons in the US where he has been able to raise the profile of the football to great levels.

Redknapp has also said that he is yet to discuss a potential move for the midfielder with his chairman. It remains to be seen if the QPR chairman Tony Fernandes will be interested in sanctioning yet another high-profile move given that he has already spent a lot of money on players and wages. Redknapp was appointed as a replacement for Mark Hughes within a short span of time. The former Portsmouth and Tottenham manager has been out of work since leaving Tottenham on mutual consent at the end of last season. Harry Redknapp has inherited a team that are currently winless in the Premier league after 13 matches.

"I'm sure he could still play in the Premier League. I've not discussed it with the chairman so we'd have to look at that. He's a top fantastic player. We had him training at Tottenham and it was amazing [to have him] round the place. He is absolute class. David could still be a great asset to anyone. Just having him round the place, showing people how to train and look after yourself," said Redknapp when discussing about the potential move for David Beckham. He has also been linked with a move to the Australian league.
