Pogba Reportedly Close To Agreeing A New Deal At United
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly reversed his decision about his future at the club and may now likely sign a new contract at Old Trafford, according to the Daily Mirror. The Frenchman has seen his fortunes rise at the club in recent weeks and may now be close to agreeing a new contract under Olé Gunnar Solskjaer's management.
Pogba is a player who always makes the headlines and has had a mixed time at United which has led to him being linked with a number of clubs in Europe, including his former club Juventus and Spanish outfit Real Madrid. According to multiple reports, he was close to returning to Juventus last summer but a move never materialised and he remained at United instead.
His agent, Mino Raiola has always made his fractured relationship with United public and has also always mentioned that he would like his client to leave the red side of Manchester and either return to the Old Lady or seal a big-money transfer to Real Madrid.
However, according to the latest reports making the rounds, the World Cup-winning midfield star is now open to prolonging his stay at United by putting pen to paper on a contract extension. Since the turn of the year, Pogba has been able to show just how much of an important player he is to Solksjær and once again proved it in the short time he played against AC Milan in the Europa League the last time out.
He scored the only goal of the game away in Italy as the Red Devils sealed a 2-1 aggregate win over ther rivals and secured passage to the next round of the UEFA Europa League. He will now look to help United secure a two-legged victory over Spanish club Granada, who they have been drawn against as they aim to win the trophy this season.
