Tuchel Reveals What He Thinks Of Havertz's Performance Against Everton
Chelsea continued their fine run of form on Monday night as they comfortably dealt with Carlo Ancelotti's Everton with a 2-0 scoreline on Monday night. The young attacker was in fine form and was pivotal as Chelsea extended their unbeaten run with a fine showing that saw them climb up to 4th place in the Premier League standings ahead of West Ham United.
Germany international attacking midfielder Havertz has been under the spotlight for largely negative reasons since sealing his move from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen last summer. He has been very inconsistent this season after initially signing for the Blues as one of their marquee signings of the summer. His fluctuating firm has cost him starting roles and playing time at the club for some parts of the season, with many, including his former manager Frank Lampard, believing that there is more to his game than what he has been showing to the Blues' fans.
Since Tuchel took over at Chelsea, one of the promises the German coach made was that he would ensure that he does his best to bring out the best in the club's misfiring attackers Kai Havertz and Timo Werner. It now looks as though he has started to fulfill his promise with evidence showing that Havertz is improving his game with each chance he is given to represent the club on the pitch.
The attacker was involved in the two goals Chelsea scored on Monday night, having forced Ben Godfrey to score an own goal, before winning the penalty that saw Jorginho convert from the spot-kick with a beautiful finish to make the scoreline 2-0 at half-time.
Speaking of Havertz, Tuchel said the player has a lot of ability and will get the chance to show just how good he is.
